About Ed Tech Hub
An open, interactive primary computing platform built by an experienced ICT specialist to provide schools worldwide with accessible, hands-on digital skills education — 100% free and zero logins required.
The Educator Behind Ed Tech Hub
Ed Tech Hub was conceived and created by an ICT teacher and Educational Technology specialist with over 15 years of classroom experience teaching primary computing across both national and international school systems.
Observing that primary classrooms often struggle with complex account setup, software licensing paywalls, and fragmented learning resources, Ed Tech Hub was built with a single objective: give every teacher and student immediate, friction-free access to high-impact computing simulations directly inside the web browser.
Our Core Pedagogical Philosophy
Computing is an active craft. Students do not develop authentic computational fluency by watching passive videos or answering generic multiple-choice quizzes.
Every strand on this platform scaffolds learning across Levels 1 to 6: Foundation to Mastery: combining interactive sandboxes where learners manipulate spreadsheet formulas, inspect hardware layers, drag block code, and test cyber defenses with authentic metacognitive reflection and verified learning checks.
Platform Architecture & Standards
Key assurances for school leaders, curriculum coordinators, and safeguarding leads.
Zero Logins & Privacy by Design
100% compliant with GDPR, FERPA, and COPPA regulations. No student accounts, passwords, email addresses, or personal identifiable information (PII) are ever requested or stored on any server.
Levels 1 to 6: Foundation to Mastery
Progressions scaffold learners logically across 6 progressive levels from early exploration through applied challenges, culminating in an unlocked Practice Sandbox and a synthesis Sketchnote poster.
Zero Software Licenses
All 15 simulators (spreadsheets, browser sandboxes, directory trees, software layers) execute client-side via native HTML/CSS/JS. Fully compatible with Chromebooks, iPads, PC, and Mac.
Modular Scheme-Agnostic
Functions seamlessly as a standalone primary computing syllabus or as interactive enrichment for established schemes like Teach Computing, Barefoot, Code.org, or regional programmes.
Curriculum Alignment Framework
Ed Tech Hub is grounded in the European/Spanish LOMLOE digital competence descriptors, while naturally satisfying the computing attainment targets of the UK National Curriculum, US CSTA standards, and IB PYP inquiry units.
