What is it?

Scratch is the world's largest coding community for kids. It uses a block-based programming language where you snap colorful blocks together like LEGOs to make characters (called Sprites) move, talk, and interact. It's the perfect place to learn how computers think!

How to Log In

1. Go to scratch.mit.edu.
2. Click Sign In in the top right corner.
3. Enter your school username and password.
(If you don't have an account, click 'Create' to start coding instantly without logging in!)

The Stage

The main screen where your story, game, or animation plays out. Everything on the stage moves along an X and Y coordinate grid.

Choose from hundreds of characters and objects, or draw your own using the paint editor. Each sprite has its own code!
